Wisdom from the Ages

If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.  Unless of course you are trying to tunnel out of prison then by all means just keep digging this is the good kind of hole the ones that leads to freedom and pretty soon you  will see the light at the end of the tunnel unless of course that light is a train, then boy you sure won’t be happy about that light  which of course you never hide under a bushel particulary if the light was a candle and bushel was made of wicker.  Now, it may go out as the smoke builds up inside and starves the fire of oxygen but it might also set the bushel on fire, then the house, then your neighbor’s and finally a big part of the city.  And if you were far away it would be a city shining on a hill but that wouldn’t be the kind of place you would want go.
